Meet Apollo

Pit Bull–type dogs are often highly people-oriented, affectionate, and eager to please, traits that can make them well suited for therapeutic settings when properly trained and supervised. Research and temperament testing have shown that many Pit Bull–type dogs score comparably to other popular family breeds for stability and friendliness toward people (American Temperament Test Society, 2023).

Apollo may be present in sessions as a comfort or emotional support animal. His participation is always voluntary and based on client preference and clinical appropriateness.

Apollo began formal training at approximately 14 weeks of age, with the long-term goal of becoming a trained Animal-Assisted Play Therapy (AAPT) dog.

Hi hi hiiii! 🐾

My name is Apollo. I was born on December 30, 2025 — which basically makes me a holiday firework. 💥✨

When I was just a teeny tiny 4-week-old floof, my first mommy decided my little shark teeth were too pokey (rude, honestly), so she stopped feeding me and my five brothers and one sister. We were just babies! I was very small. Very hungry. Very dramatic about it.

But then — plot twist! — my new mommy and daddy came to get me. In the snow. And the ice. Like heroes. They scooped me up and took me to a warm house with a cozy bed that was NOT covered in snow, which is 10/10, would recommend.

Now I live with my big sister, Gypsy. She is 9 years old, which I think means she is ancient. She does not appreciate my talents. My talents include:

  • Chewing gently (okay, maybe enthusiastically) on her tail.

  • Barking directly into her ear while she is asleep.

  • Pouncing on her face to say good morning.

  • Existing joyfully.

She says I am “too much.” I say I am “fun-sized chaos.”

I just want to play. All the time. Forever.
